stainelss steel, schamotte, etc.

A little over two years, after an eight-month stay on Bornholm (Denmark), I came across the material glass. An incredibly fascinating material, very complex and involved in high acquisition costs. Since universities in Vienna and Lower Austria do not offer courses for working with glass, it is practically impossible for a student to interact with this material. Last year, UNESCO included manual glass production in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Additionally, the number of glass craftspeople is steadily decreasing - so it was clear to me that I wanted to continue working with this material.

So in order to continue to work with blown glass, I set myself the goal of designing & building a small portable glass melting furnace. Since manual glass production is usually very site-specific, my design aims to provide the possibility to work independently of location.
