Air surrounds us all the time, as does knowledge in all its forms. Like air, knowledge per sé can not be seen. In order to make it visible, it needs to be captured. Every single bubble captured in these pieces, is like a letter in a sentence - it visualises the invisible. These six body’s of acquired knowledge derive from my gained knowledge while working with the material glass.

In order to incorporate bubbles in to the pieces, I used two different methods. First I sprinkled a tiny bit of baking soda over the base bubble. In this case soda acts as a flux and creates small bubbles. Secondly an assistant blew bubbles on a pipe, some of them were dipped into baking soda water, and then positioned on a base bubble. The second step was executed over and over, until the base was covered in trapped air. By gathering over the base, all bubbles merged into one single glass object.

These six body’s of acquired knowledge derive from my gained knowledge while working with the material glass.
